because an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve problems were found in this Daniel,
Daniel 11:12
And when alarming news arose against him by his own peers:-
Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.
Daniel 6:10
Daniel continued in prayer just as he had always done and we see a great deliverance take place with the great lions used as demonstration that God is still in control.
